Product properties
SANREMO MONTAGEKLEBSTOFF MS 40 is elastic curing to absorb vibrations and deformations. Can be used indoors and outdoors.
Can be used as an adhesive and sealant.
SANREMO MONTAGEKLEBSTOFF MS 40: Provides excellent adhesion to wood, wood-based materials, composite materials, metals such as: Aluminium, iron, steel, copper, various types of plastic / synthetic materials, glass, mirrors, insulating materials and many more. In the case of absorbent mineral substrates, pre-treatment of the substrate with a deep penetrating primer may be necessary (recommended).

Processing
Preparation of the bonding surfaces
The joint surfaces must be dry, load-bearing, clean and free of dust and grease. All damaged and loose particles must be removed.
Preparation of joints and cartridges
- To obtain cleanly defined joints, it may be advisable to tape the edges of the joint with self-adhesive tape.
- Cut off the cartridge at the top of the thread and screw on the tip. The tip should be adapted to the width of the joint and cut off at an angle. Place the cartridge in a squeeze gun and squeeze out the material.
- SANREMO MONTAGEKLEBSTOFF MS 40 should be applied as evenly as possible.
- Immediately after application, smooth the adhesive with a
trowel and smoothing agent.
- Remove adhesive tapes immediately after smoothing.
- Clean the still fresh compound and the tool with alcohol or acetone.
Correct dimensioning of expansion joints:
To achieve optimum elasticity, the part ratio between the joint width and the joint depth must be 2:1, maximum 1:1. SANREMO MONTAGEKLEBSTOFF MS 40 must not adhere to the joint bottom, only to the joint flanks. Three-sided adhesion is prevented by using suitable backfilling material (foamed polyethylene, polyurethane). The joint may be min. 6mm and max. 20mm wide.
Not to be used in glass rebate sealing.
Not to be used in permanent underwater joints.

Storage
Original container can be stored cool (between 5°C and 25°C) and dry for at least 12 months.
