Does Vebatec Z4 discolour the base material?
Many of our customers keep asking whether Vebatec Z4 discolours the base material on which it is applied. In principle, no discolouration of the base material is to be expected when using Vebatec Z4 due to the rapid curing of the material and the small amount of material of the annular gap.
However, the risk of edge zone discolouration is often present with 1-component sealants, as the time required for the material to cure through is significantly longer, giving the ingredients more time to penetrate the base material.
