The pinta PE round cord is the professional backfill for almost all construction and expansion joints and complies with the structural engineering standard DIN 18540.
The PE joint filler profile is an elastic and closed-cell polyethylene (PE) foam, which is used as backfill material both indoors and outdoors.

Product advantages
Enormous improvement of the adhesion of the sealant to the joint edges.
Can be used with absorbent materials.
Considerable potential for saving on sealants (e.g. silicone) by limiting the joint depth.
Processing
Select the diameter of the PE joint filler profile according to the table below and press it into the joint. The round cord should be laid so that the joint depth is approx. half the joint width. Spray the remaining joint with sealant and smooth it with a suitable tool.
For sealants (e.g. silicone/acrylic), the optimum width/depth ratio is 2 : 1 (with a maximum depth of 10-12mm).
