Prevention of cracking at the transition from chimney to brickwork

The products Vebatec Butylspray and Vebatec Blitz Vlies Butylband Vlies kaschiert are excellently suited for preventing the formation of cracks in clay plaster at the transition of the chimney to the masonry.

For this purpose, the Vebatec butyl spray is first sprayed on the masonry and chimney in advance as a bonding bridge. After this has aired off - which takes between 10 and 20 minutes, depending on the temperature - the Vebatec Butylband Blitz Vlies is applied and pressed down over the entire surface. The plaster can then be applied immediately - without any further break.

The elastic and tension-equalised Vebatec butyl tape forms an optimal substrate for the plaster and thus effectively prevents the possible formation of cracks between the chimney and the adjoining masonry.
