Processing under water - of Vebatec Flex Building Material Adhesive and Vebatec Profidicht
In principle, the application of Vebatec Profidicht and Vebatec Flex Baustoffkleber under water is possible, as these two products also cure under water without any problems.
However, in this case, when applying Vebatec Profidicht and Vebatec Flex Baustoffkleber under water, make sure that the products are actually in contact with the substrate. Problems are then not to be expected, unless the substrate under water consists of an absorbent material such as masonry stone or concrete.
If the substrate is made of an absorbent material, there is a risk of water entrapment. This can lead to vapour pressure formation if the ambient temperature of the water increases. The consequence of vapour pressure formation would be the detachment of Vebatec Profidicht and Vebatec Flex building material adhesive from the substrate.
However, if the materials are applied to non-absorbent substrates such as metal, plastic or glass, this risk does not exist. In this case, however, care should be taken to ensure that Vebatec Profidicht and Vebatec Flex Baustoffkleber have good contact with the substrate.
