Should you glue over the entire surface or use line beads?

When using one-component adhesives or sealants, it is advisable to apply the adhesive or sealant in the form of beads, as it is important for these products to have contact with the medium air or the oxygen contained therein in order to cure. The curing of 1-component adhesives or sealants takes place either through the absorption of oxygen or through the drying out of ingredients such as solvents or water.

However, if full-surface bonding is used, the exchange with oxygen takes place either through the materials to be bonded or through an adhesive gap between the components. So if full-surface bonding is used, the exchange takes place from the inside to the outside.

However, in practice the curing process becomes slower and slower, as further rapid curing becomes more difficult due to the ever increasing amount of already cured material. However, when bonding in the form of line beads, it is possible for the oxygen to circulate between the line beads and thus accelerate the curing process.
