Ready-to-use solvent-free acrylic-based plastic dispersion for securing joint sand in stone paving. After drying, produces a highly elastic, frost- and weather-resistant bond of the joint sand in the upper zone. The joint sand is thus protected against sweepers, rain, weather, wind forces and washing out.
The cleaning of the surface is significantly simplified.
Fields of application:
Water-permeable consolidation of sand joints in natural stone pavers, concrete block pavers, flagstone and clinker pavements. Suitable for areas with pure pedestrian traffic, such as garden paths, terraces, house entrances as well as for the repair of joint cracks.
Consumption:
Approx. 0.5 - 2 litres / m².
Application:
The stone surface must be clean and dry. Cover adjacent surfaces that are not to be consolidated. The ideal application temperature is between 8 and 25 °C. The use of Joint Strengthener may lead to a slight gloss formation and visual colour deepening of the surface. However, this effect disappears after approx. 2-3 months when the surface is exposed to weathering and abrasion.
Therefore, create a test surface beforehand. Shake or stir the product well before use. Fill the joints (up to approx. 10 mm wide) with quartz sand (grain size 0.3 - 0.8 mm) or mineral cement mixture. Then apply the joint strengthener undiluted with a pressure sprayer or watering can until saturated. Draw off the excess with a rubber squeegee and remove completely with a broom. Absorb residues in depressions with a sponge. Avoid puddle formation on the paving! The consolidated surface must be protected from moisture for at least 24 hours and can be used after approx. 4-7 days.
After application, wash off equipment with plenty of clean water.
