Description
Versatile adhesive for bonding e.g.: Foams such as polyether, polyester with each other as well as for bonding metal, wood, cork hardboard, cardboard, rubber, linen, textiles, felt, leather, elastic adhesive seams and many more.
With Butyl Spray as a spreadable product from the metal container, processing on PVC soft foam, Styropor®, Styrodur® etc. is possible, since the solvent content is reduced and propellant gas is omitted.
Due to solvents in the propellant gas, Butyl Spray is not suitable for processing on PVC soft foam, Styropor®, Styrodur® etc.
Processing
The surfaces to be bonded must be dry, clean and free of dust and grease. Apply the adhesive thinly and evenly to both parts to be bonded. After a waiting time of about 30 seconds to 10 minutes (two-sided application) or 30 seconds to 5 minutes (one-sided application), place the parts together and press on well.
The waiting time depends on room temperature, application thickness, absorbency, the substrate, etc. The parts should be joined when the adhesive film is still slightly tacky, but no longer sticks to the finger when light finger pressure is applied. When bonding absorbent materials, a single-sided adhesive application is sufficient. Immediately after adhesive application, the parts must be placed together and pressed on.
