Product description
Sanremo Zinc Spray, for cold galvanizing, is a fast-drying, abrasion-resistant and high-temperature stable corrosion protection.
Lamellar zinc particles form a protective layer over the treated material and oxidize during drying to form a resistant and water-insoluble zinc oxide, which forms a further protective layer. In the case of large scratch areas, the product prevents infiltration by rust.
Properties
In manufacturing, it provides a fast as well as economical way to cold galvanize parts. In maintenance or construction, it eliminates costly downtime and provides years of protection on all iron and steel surfaces.
Sanremo Zinc Spray is best suited as a primer for subsequent coats of paint because it adheres well to base metal, provides a protective coating and creates a rough surface that allows the paint to bond better with the primer. Corrosion protection increases linearly in proportion to coating thickness.
